    Bosch 12V Blue Coil

I currently have a Bosch 12V blue coil installed in my ‘68 911….it was on the car when I purchased it. Is this the optimal coil for the car? If not, which one is.

I think your original coil used a resistance, I don't think the blue coil requires a resistor, so if you are still running a resistor you can by-pass it for the blue coil.

    Original was battery ignition with Bosch coil 0 221 102 026 (also Bosch number 0 221 102 007, which was a combined sale package with Bosch coil 0 221 102 026 and 0.9 Ohm resistor), superseded by 0 221 102 050 (coil only) and now available 0 221 119 021 (silver coil only).
    All coils mentioned above need a 0.9 Ohm resistor which was Bosch 1 224 509 011 until 10/67, later 1 224 509 056, now available 1 224 509 063 (looks quite different).
