Best source for batteries in Canada (Toronto)?

Good day Brent , have been using Interstate in my 69 for a number of years , quite happy to date . I do make sure that I charge them every 60 to 90 days if not being driven over the winter months. Hope to see you out to a SOLHA meet this summer.

Hi Terry.

That's the very advice that I got from Interstate, namely to charge the battery every 3 months. Apparently the problem that occurs if a battery's charge drops too low is call "sulfation", which is defined as:

"Sulfation, a build-up of lead sulfate crystals, is the number one cause of early failures of lead-acid, sealed AGM or flooded (wet cell-filler caps) batteries. A sulfated battery can lead to: loss of cranking power. longer charging times."

My car had a new pair of Interstate batteries when I bought it in Jan 2013. They lasted for about 12 months before giving me problems. I think my problems may have occurred because the clock was broken and causing a power drain. Fixed the clock and hopefully that will solve my battery problem, along with charging the batteries as recommended.

I stuck with the originals, but probably wouldn't have if not for a concours restoration. Available at your friendly neighbourhood Porsche dealer, and guess what? They fit perfectly. About $400 if I recall.
