Very cool car & story! Is that Resedagrun or Polarissilber?

Are you familiar with "Jeroen's E21 Network" online?

My first car was a 323i...

Very happy '02 owner here in San Jose, CA! No mods though - pretty stock except for Momo wheel and 320i Recaros.

    Happy Holidays!

Hi Polaris: you wear 185/70/13 tires - are you odometer readings very much off?

(I take part in many regularity events and precise readings are important to me. I am thus sticking to 165/80/13 which are not my favorites.)

    Hi Pawel,
i'm not Polaris but the difference in circumfence is 0,8% so that's near to nothing.
And for regularity you'll calibrate your tripmaster or similar.
By the way I have a brantz retrotrip with a matching fixture for BMW 02 (early short middle console) if anyone's interested.
    Cheers

    How about a 1967 1600-2

My son has turned 16 and wanted something vintage as his first car. We found this incredibly solid but neglected and "personalized" 1600-2. We will be returning it to its original Bristol (a Gray with bluish tint) with black hood, trunk and door tops. New carpets and a pair of Scheel 300 replicas from GTS will find their way into the car as well.

It has a 2002 engine with a custom built Jetronic FI system that works amazingly well along with a 5-Speed box. Somebody thought it a good idea to add a sunroof which works great, but is not exactly period.

My son is getting to work cleaning the car after it arrived from the Seattle area. It was not driven much in the last several years. We have wiring issues to deal with and some minor rust in the driver's footwell. Otherwise it's a solid west coast car.

wait a second before going to bodywork - I'll have to compare pics. These might be the "kleine Alpina verbreiterung" (small alpina Flare)
