why is new york such a desert?

i moved from Europe over to NYC back in September 2013, brought my car with me. very disappointed by how little is organised in the area. no meetings, no cars and coffee. where do you meet? any one up for an informal gathering to celebrate the first day of spring?

It would be cool if Mr. Seinfeld would have an open house of his 83rd St. garage

That won't happen, but there is actually a lot of activity out here. It's not California of course, but I'm not sure how you have tried to hook up with people. Posting here is a good start. Send me a pm with your contacts and I'll see what I can suggest.

I know, I find CT much more fun. I showed my Speedster in Norwalk last year and met some great people. But it's more of a desire to meet up informally, go for a drive, have a drink. Without all the formality of a rally in Long Island

let's meet up and go for a drive in the spring. I tried the metronypca went on a couple of rallyes in LI in my 58 Speedster but that was all about showing off the new 991 or the tuned 997. Not really about 356s and and long hoods and certainly not for me
