    Great Trip...

What a treat to visit Bruce Canepa's place....the wooden cage looks like an actual "birdgage"...but it's the first Duesenberg automobile...1919(?) and the ownership is still in the same original family!...it's in for the regular 91-year routine check-up....In the fourth pic we're trying to imagine how it must have felt going a million miles an hour with seat and fenders full of race-gas, surrounded with a few thin aluminum and fiberglass bits, called a Lola T-220(?)..amazing...Thanks again for setting this up!.../ Lars...

    Unscheduled Treffen activities PacNW style.

Seattle crew and friends on a short halt to take care of some mechanical issues somewhere above the track. After freezing at Laguna Seca and taking in some racing, walking the pits and buying mugs and 'I visited Laguna Seca!' hats, the decision was made to head up over the ridge and poke around before the Tarpy's dinner. If you look close I think you can see Jpnovak recounting the Honda Accord he witnessed skipping over the nasty downhill bumps under full lockup OR he is telling everyone how he thinks Keniks front right shock 'seems loose'

    Bryan, great video!

It seemed like we were going much faster at the time...

What? My holding the camera and bouncing all over the place didn't add enough motion drama? The video does seem a little slow. I did try and play it back at a higher rate and it seemed more realistic to the experience but I could not find a way to save the vid out with those settings. Newbie here in the editing dept.
Thanks for letting me ride as 'ballast' heh.

Great video and a very beautiful landscape- trees, mountains, sky... and a nice twisty road.

Good job being the camera guy. Though I like to drive fast, I am a terrible passenger- I always am holding back my critiques of the driver's line.

What did the Prius guy do when you passed him the second time? Call the cops?

It's always surprising how slow those white knuckle drives look in video.

    Hey Bryan-

Thanks for posting that up! That was a fun drive. It was nice meeting you and the rest of the Pac-west gang....we'll have to do it again! It's so true how the camera doesn't do our speeds justice, all I know is I was bouncing of the rev limiter all day......good stuff!

Dave- No problem and your welcome. You should really thank Rich for bugging me. I think Rich laughing throughout the video sums up the the spirit of the group. I love it!

    Flieger-
I hate being a passenger as well but I tend relax if I know the driver has some skills and I have my 5 point cinched up. In the end I have to believe I am receiving some karma for all the people I have turned ghost white over the years...especially the women passengers. But then again sometimes a rush of adrenaline works in your favor ....just sayin.

Andy- Thanks for starting the Treffen Blog! It is great to see and read what impressed everyone over week/weekend.

Great video, Bryan. Here is the one we took on the way back out on the same road:
