Again all the necessary wiring was behind the dash to make installation a snap.

Need to install the matching temperature sensor on the engine next....
Interesting that your oil gauge does not have the brake warning (for handbrake on or MC failure) on top.

The combo gauge I’m seeing has handbrake light at the top and the stick figure. I suspect everything will work the same as old gauge has a dedicated handbrake light segment.

My 1973.5 has a circle with a B in it not the funky symbol Doug is showing.

Shamelessly stolen from a listing on BringATrailer.

    A bit more work tonight.
Cleaned up the chassis sections where the tail light housings sit.
Just a little surface rust that the brass wire brush on my drill took care of easily.
Some etching primer and paint, and I was good to go.
Plus some fresh threaded speed nuts for the tail light housings.

Next thing I know the tail light housings were back in place.
These were NOS units I've had sitting under my desk for the past 12 years.
Not sure what vintage they are...but much better than the bombed out, rusted original units.

Then I was "in" with the Hella Euro lens.

Back end of the car coming together.
Off to the paint shop soon to finish up the rear bumpers, center section and front bumper.
There will be a twist coming....stay tuned.

Also starting to work on the front headlights.
Came with the US sugar scoops.
    Bye bye.
Have a set of John Audette's LED specials going in.

First had to address some surface rust and sketchy wiring...

Brother...what some peeps do to these cars of ours.
Absolutely off the hook as they say.

I try to do some rescues for sure.
In about 2 years, this car will be completely dismantled and sent to Scott Longballa for some TLC.
Should be a proper HotRod when I get it back.
Will be a very interesting non-Factory color.
Sorry all you purists, but I like different.

Harry...you've got to get with the new "stick figure" thing...man.
Same function and light, just a different icon.
