    But if you have 2 wires coming out your distributor I don't think you have it.

    This thread needs some translation . Ravi is referring to an RPM transducer which is not related to the tach . The intermediate device was for the first generation of cars with a CD . I think the picture may indicate a missing intermediate device ,
    I need to look at an original early '71 to verify .

    That may be a transducer, that is for shutting off the MFI on over run to meet emissions, nothing to do with tach operation. Right now it seems like your mechanic may have removed the pieces necessary to operate your tach. You can get a "tach-adapt" from "Ashlock Tech" that may help you get around that problem.

    yes it also seems that the part is no longer present, I went to see the mechanic and I will tell you what is happening
