FS: @BaT - 1965 Porsche 911, all matching barn find

Those of you who read my articles will probably remember my story a few months back in ESSES about a truckload of Porsche we hauled off a farm in Maryland last year. The crown jewel of this collection was a pretty original, all numbers matching 1965 Porsche 911. 1st year 911's are among the hardest to find, I know, of the roughly 1000 Porsches I've saved this is the only 65 911 I've ever had. To make this one even more rare is it still has it's original engine and gearbox, and the engine still has the complete Solex Carb setup that is almost always missing on these cars. Yes the car has taken some hits, but in 59 years who hasn't? What makes this car worth saving is things like the original floors, engine, gearbox, etc. You can spend any amount to restore any car, but you can't conjure those things out of thin air. The car is being offered at a No Reserve auction on Bring-A-Trailer, check out the link below. Don't wait on the next one, it may never come!
