Good job. I thought that this was a joke at first. No joke, really really nice. Now you can finish it as a running restoration..
Wray and me had some fun yesterday mocking up the Faux Cam motor. I had one idea, Wray, as usual, had a better one so we went with his idea. Once I finish the sheet metal it will look pretty good!
On the left is the real 4 cam, on the right is my interpretation.

We've now reached the point where the final engine needs to go into the car. Vic built me the longblock, Ibrahim Kuzu supplied the shroud, now Bill has to make it all work. I added a wrinkle to the whole deal too when I decided to switch the generator to 12V. Bill dis-assembled the shroud, which is pretty tricky and involves some Carrera specific tools. Turns out the 12V generator I had been saving looked great but doesn't work, so it's being repaired. We also check out the Solex 40 PII's and made some adjustments. I focused mainly on taking down the carbs for inspection and finishing up with the fake valve covers. I sourced the correct nuts from Germany and can add safety wire for dramatic effect. Hoping to complete the engine phase by the end of July, stay tuned!
