Finish of CURVED WASHER FOR ENGINE MOUNT 72

Actually finishing a 2,4T MFI engine that will been mounted to a 8/71 soon.
Engine ans MFI was completely disassembled and technically overhaul, while the outer parts were just preserved.

Actually stumbling over the optic of the engine mounts and curved washer. Still have the correct screws but two different type of washers.

Had the washers been yellow zinc or black?

The bushes of the engine mounts have to been replaced. Are the Powerflex Heritage PU bushes a good solution?

My take is that the washers are black. Lets see what the concensus is.

Black originally in 72/3 I believe but often see them
incorrect in yellow galvanised these days.

I have a Sept. 76 Carrera 3.0 that’s a virgin and they are still black.

Looks like the experts have spoken.

So black engine mounts and black washers.

Found a pair of 915 trans mounts with black washer and Dera screws 8x35 in the garage and will use the original KAMAX screws 12x92 to build up a pair engine mounts with new bushes.

The rubber of the mounts show the correct part number and Lemförder symbol, but look black.

Powerflex offers bushes in black (95shore) and grey (80shore). Prefer 80shore for this car. Suggestions?

@Rick: My MY77 C3 engine is also 9/76 #312. Possible to share detailed pictures of your engine.

The car is not here at the moment, but I can take any photo you want. It’s engine #260.

Black mounts and washers. I use the Rennline sport rubber bushings and press them into the painted black mounts. The Porsche club sport mounts I find are too soft now.
