My 6R weigh ca 5450g while deep 6 weigh ca 5800g. I guess there could be variations in production in these early years.

    Hello Bart,
    Great find on your car!
FYI: Date stamp 01/68 and 03/68 had ink stamps originally.
In case you are thinking to sell the early 1968 6R Fuchs, I would be interested in one or two.
Please let me know via PM. Thank you.

Pics and info on my deep 6R’ Fuchs

    Hi,

Please find some pictures I made this morning.
I am still not sure if I am going to sell 2 of them but will make my mind up this weekend and will do some reasearch on pricing.
They are almost flawless without any damage as one can see zooming in on pics. I also believe they.have never been restored/refurbished as I have them already 27 years and paint looks old/original.

I weighted them (removed lead and 3-prong) and they all came to 5.2 - 5,3 kg. Was done on a scale measuring my own weigth, so precision maybe not good.

The dates are three times March ‘68 and one Nov ‘67.

    Cheers,
    Bart

See now pics are upside down….. will do I hope ;-)

Nice wheels! Looks like they have been refinnished on outside and polished? Often you can feel and smell if raw aluminium surface. Also looks like outside lip is polished søl the way in rather than half way as original.
Picture of inside spokes and dates are only visual proof if they are real 6R. 6/7R wheels had the part number grinded.

But the weight and dates indicate they are real 6R.

Flat6 and deep6 are two complete different wheels but with similar apperance in the design. Flat 6 has a smaller center and the same as the 7" and 8" and use tires without tubes.

6R and deep6 are the same wheel but 6R has some thinner material that makes it dome lighter.
