    Here the information about the snail horns:

    Snail horn 400Hz Porsche 90163511202 left side assembly, Bosch 0321023002 beginning VIN 305101, 354001, 458101 until end of model year 1968 (SWB).

    Snail horn 500Hz Porsche 90163511302 right side assembly, Bosch 0321023003 beginning VIN 305101 until end of model year 1968 (SWB) for 911S, 911L only.

    Swiss cars had the snail horn type until the end of MY1973 as far as I know.

    The snail rotation is different in both types to enable the assembly.

    Model year 1969 and 1970: Both horns were standard for all 911.
    Here 2 pictures for MY 1969 and 1970 with different mounting brackets and horn positioning in comparison to the SWB cars.
