FS: Orange Bar Hood Badge - restored

For Sale, a 1972 Orange Bar hood badge, restored by Karla Maxwell (https://maxwellenamels.com)

$975 incl shipping via USPS domestically

I was going to use it for my 1972 car but its just too nice, and I'd prefer it go to someone who needs one for a car they want to show.
I prefer my patina'd badge, and will keep that one, so offering this restored one for sale.

I sent it to Karla in Oct '22 and she returned it to me in May '23. Save yourself the wait with one already done, from a MY'72.

    Thanks

    Karl.

Beautiful work, but appears as a new badge from 2022 not 1972. Seems to be ‘over restored’ in my opinion. Needs a bit more orange vs. the red.

GLWS and thanks for the link.

Tony, it is perhaps my photographic skills, and it can be a little difficult to photograph accurately. In person, IMHO, it is a very nice orange. I took some more pics, and I did not enhance them in any way, with my iPhone.
Here (pic taken beside window with natural light on a dull northeast day), left to right, is a modern badge which is definitely red, & not orange. In the middle is a patina'd early badge, with dull orange. Someone may have touched it up at some point. At right is the 1972 orange badge I have for sale, which has been restored by Karla. I think you can see more of the orange colour here, particularly beside the modern red badge.

Here again (with slightly different light, indoors) at top is orange patina'd badge, in middle the modern red badge, and at bottom the restored 1972 orange badge I have for sale.

I took some pics of the badge, beside the patina’d one on my 72.
