    Brake Pressure Warning Switch Seal

    Hi Guys

i have a small leak from the US spec Brake Pressure Warning Switch on the master Cylinder. The part number 99970134340 (superseded to 99970134341) is NLA from Porsche (per Pelican site) and also does not show up on Stoddard or other supplier pages.

Has anyone found a suitable alternative for this? The size is indicated as 12.42 - 1.78. (.489" - .07'). Several web sites indicate that several materials including alfas, teflon and EPDM are compatible with brake fluid. McMaster Carr have those options available in this size.

Before i pick one and order, has anyone had any experience replacing this seal or further advice?

    thanks
    Darren

Is it the switch or the seal? If the seal washer just look for an appropriate copper washer at Ace Hdw.

I checked again after having cleaned the area, and it looks like its the seal rather than switch. The OEM part was an O-ring, has anyone tried a copper washer in this application? Don't know if the switch would bottom out or be able to compress the washer.

Should also be able to source a generic o ring at a hardware store.
