Questions about "strange" front bumper guard

Hello members,

I have a pair of this front bumper guard since 30 years...

• First style solid bumper guard
• Has rubber pad
• Wider bumper trim : 1967 911S ???
• Holes (I suppose) to install a bar ???

Would you have any idea what year/model these parts are correct for?

Those holes look like they were for the factory bumper bar (Not Amco).

This bumper guards have solid back and no slots.
See picture #1 on first post.

It's very unlikely the factory ever made solid backs with a rear contour for wide S-deco. Those deco contours don't look very precise; I'm guessing someone cut an early bumper guard to fit a later deco.

You're right: I hadn't noticed how the deco contours are not precise.
Same for the holes for the rubber pads and also the holes for the bar.
I think this bumper guards was the original installed on the 300090 and a previous owner destroyed them.

some say that the early horns where a bit different(deeper)...if you have the chance to compare yours with 65ish ones let us know if this is true.

Following are 2 pictures of a pair of front bumper guards I have.
Those bumperets have solid back with slot.
I don't know exactly the year of those parts.
I will compare them to the "destroyed" pair.
