Curt, I felt like a geek in Scott boots but they were light and hinged. Perfect for our home made AT setups.

What I did with some old longboards. scary
Love this thread on old skis! My go-to skis back in high school in the 80's for tearing it up in Tahoe were my Head Comp SL's in 205cm...... there was always a special sense of pride when I walked onto the tram at Squaw and had the longest skis
But let's make sure to show some equal love for the "other" skis that consume us during the warmer months. This is a set of old woodies that the owner of our lake home left in the boat house when we bought it a few years back. We decided that they were SO cool that we had to make them part of the home so we mounted 'em up on the wall. Waterski technology has certainly come a long way - and it's making it easier for 50-year olds like me to keep skiing with less effort (despite a few extra pounds!). Below is my current ride: 2015 HO Freeride

La Dolce Vita!
I traded a 71 911S Oil cooler console and lines back in the early 80s with Mike Brunetto, of Research Dynamics and later from Wolf Ski Co. in Sun Valley, for this pair of hand made skis from him. The skis were hideously expensive at the time and I was happy to make the trade. Turns out, I really didn't like them and used them sparingly, but a deal is a deal.
Jim
Those are really cool Jim. I demo'd the RD Coyotes once but don't really remember much about them.
I recently picked up a set of 1967/68 Dynamic VR17s in 215cm. Nice shape but the tops are fairly scratched up, so I'm going to give them the World Cup sticker livery used in the late 60s and 1970. Artwork is done and at the printers.
