WOW !!!
Nice shot Jim ... THANKS !!!
Did 4 sessions, two alone and 2 with enthusiastic passengers... ... and one as a passenger instructing in a 991...
It was a GREAT day I wouldn't have missed for the world...
Cheers bud, and keep hammering in that old brown car you scared me in 25 years ago ...

Hi Chuck, any reason you don't use a ducktail on the track?
I know they are passé and all, but I was reminded going ~120+ on the straight today, that my RS clone is incredibly more stable at speed in a straight line than a regular coupe. I know some is the front dam, some is the suspension, but I can have a casual conversation on the straight these days compared to white knuckled jumping all over the track without the RS accoutrements.
And yes, bless you and your car, and your willingness to ride shotgun in a 991.

I completely agree my friend... In fact the way I used to go to Willow, on the rifle straight 'cross desert' roads in lieu of the freeway, is why I put the duck tail on in the first place... At the upper reaches of 5th gear I was wondering why my forearms were so tired. It was because I was holding on so damn tight !!!... Then the tail when on, the front end settled and no more tired arms....
Well, I seem not be exploring the upper end 5th these days... On the short track I'm go'n about 105 clockwise, and about 115 counterclockwise, you don't really start feeling the duck tail till over 90... So... I wanted to see what my old car looked like without the tail again, after about 25 years. I'll live with the slower speeds, and the different look ... for now... It's only been about 3 years without, so who knows...
Back to our regular broadcast...
Cheers

What a fantastic day! And what a way to get back together again after not being able to see one another for far too long. Thanks for sharing, Jim and Chuck.
Oh, and I love the car sans ducktail. But then again, I loved it with the ducktail as well. Awesome car either way.
