The item I posted is not a technical paper it is the first a weekly motoring magazine that is still being published and available on the newsstands ( and of course now digitally). I think magazines exist elsewhere than this private automobile club. These are kept in neat set of bound volumes in a glass cabinet. However I tend to use the Autosport magazine archive in the adjacent cabinets more as it has wonderful motorsport history. I recently helped a friend find her 911 that had a National championship winning history among the pages — thirsty work among musty pages that required a few beverages in the bar to recover from.

Nearly a century younger Richard Attwood kindly signed my copy of what is a more technical paper. It was presented by Hans Mezger to the IMechE back in 1972. Seemed apt as he won in one of the racers that was the subject. Attwood was born near Birmingham where the talk took place
