***2011 Euro Philly Cheesesteak Run - Saturday, May 7, 2011***

***This is for a drive from Maryland but there are a couple caravans coming from the north as well, if you're coming from that area. The info is at the end of this post.

Last year was the first "annual" Euro Cheesesteak Run and we had around 100 cars even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer. That's why for this year we planned it for May 7, 2011 so it will be a tad cooler. We're keeping it "Euro" related just to keep it from getting too large. If you have friends that have nice cars, we're certainly not excluding anyone, just try not to spam it around on every car forum on the internet. If you post this on any other forums, please post the link here so I can update the list.

    2011 Euro Philly Cheesesteak Run
    Saturday, May 7, 2011

Rain Date: Saturday, May 28, 2011

9:00 am – Meet in Rockville at Mid-Pike Plaza, Toys R Us parking lot
    11802 Rockville Pike
    North Bethesda, MD 20852

Leaving around 10:00 am. It takes approximately three hours to get to Philly from here.

11:15 am - Arrive at Maryland House rest stop to regroup and use the restrooms.

1:00 pm – arrive at Tony Luke's Cheesesteaks
    39 East Oregon Avenue
    Philadelphia, PA 19148

    FACEBOOK EVENT

Costs - $11 in tolls from Rockville, $6 in tolls back. A Cheesesteak is around $7 plus drinks. They also have other sandwiches, fries, mozzerella sticks, etc.

If you live in the PA, NJ, DE, NY etc area and don't want to join the cruise (or want to set up your own), just meet at Tony Luke's around 1:00 pm.

    Website: http://www.tonylukes.com.

Parking - the best place to park is next to the Tony Lukes restaurant, under I-95. There are at least a few hundred parking spaces so parking will not be an issue. There is also a small parking lot across the street for about 20 cars.

Eating - Across the street from the restaurant is the "steak shop" and that's where I recommend you get your food. There will be quite a line but it will be worth the wait. The restaurant has limited seating and will fill up quick with all the people that are coming.

If you're coming from the north, there are two separate meeting points that were organized by Mat from Eurowerkz who is one of the organizers of EUROFEST!

Meeting point 1 - Bronx, NY
Arrive between 10 AM - 10:15 AM ; Leaving PROMPTLY at 10:30 AM to head to meeting point 2
    Home Depot Parking lot
    1806 East Gun Hill Road
    Bronx, NY 10469
(2:20 Hours away from Tony Lukes)

Meeting point 2 – Elizabeth, NJ
Arrive between 11 AM - 11:15 AM ; Leaving PROMPTLY at 11:30 AM to head to Philly
    Jersey Gardens
    651 Kapkowski Rd
    Elizabeth, NJ 07201
(1:40 Hours away from Tony Lukes)

We will merge the two at Jersey Gardens at around 11:00AM There will be Walkie-talkies, maps given out with local gas stations, and a phone number list of the two lead cars for this run. All lead cars will have V1 radar along with a walkie-talkie to keep everyone safe and out of tickets. As a bonus S.N.T.R.L will be covering the event, a professional video and photoshoot will be done on the way and at the destination. Check out their site here: http://www.sntrl.com

If they are any questions please feel free to post or e-mail MAT@EUROWERKZ.COM
