Sport Seat Screws

For those looking for screws for their Sport Seats. I posted this on another thread, but wanted to make a separate post in the parts section.

All the replacement screws mentioned above are the same size and just a little too large for the depression of the seat mechanism. Yes, they will work, but to my eye, you can tell they are bigger than they should be, especially when compared to the original screw. They are also a #4 Phillips head size vs. what may have been #2 or #3, however, this I can live with. In conversations with other members, we have found that there were two lengths used, the 20mm that most mention and 27mm that can out of my original 73 seats. I ordered both 20mm and 25mm new Stainless Steel screw sizes (8x1.25), though once installed you will never know any difference. Why there are two sizes I have no clue. I then sent the screws off to a friend who is a machinist and had him reduce the head size to closely match the original head size. I had him make extras in case there were other members who are as anal as me and wanted some. I can sell the screws for $12.75 each and will only sell them in sets of 8. If interested PM me. If I sell out and others want some I can have more made, though they may be sightly more expensive due to shop minimums etc.
