    More crooked 7's

1975 introduced one more 7's with another "hanging chad" variety. The "hanging chad" was a persistent problem from Feb 1973 into the 1976 models (so far). I call these type 5 & 5A.

In producing the 911 sticker, I made 3 versions for the longhoods only to discover the KG to AG change after the first printing run. I was asked to make a version for the 2.7L cars so added 2 versions for them and 2 versions for the SC.
That allowed me to add the AG version, for a total of 8 911 styles. Then Andy asked for the 914 version, there are 8 of those for a total of 16 differing stickers. I do not know what the 912 used (and am afraid to find out!).
    Dave, your data is amazing.
Once again our board is a fantastic resource .

These are the first 3 labels all in Silver, all Porsche KG.
    Type 1: 911 & 914/6 from 07/69 through 12/71 (to end of 1971 calendar year I believe)
Type 2: 911 from 01/72 through 06/72 (remaining part of 1972 model year)
    Type 3: 911 from 06/72 through mid 05/73

After the first 3 they came in sets of Silver or Black with Porsche AG.
    Type 4 Silver: 911 from mid 05/73 through 05/75 ( to end of 1975 MY I believe)
    Type 4 Black: 911 for 1974 & 1975 model years
    Type 5 Silver: 911 & 912E for 1976 MY
    Type 5 Black: 911 & 912E for 1976 MY

    After these it gets complicated with part #'s in the design; from 911 701 112 00 to 911 701 112 29 I suspect alternating in pairs of Silver & Black. Also 930 701 112 xx & later the 964 701 112 xx.

Not all have the weights in lbs, but I am getting out of the realm of this forum. Also working on the 914/4 decals.

If you can provide a photo of ANY & EVERY label, please email to david_j.pateman (at) sympatico.ca. The dates and VIN's provide data to help people establish the correct date for reproduction labels, and the details of the various character variations.

Fantastic work Dave. I find it interesting that on some examples above, the 7 in the month has a different pattern than the 7 in the year -- on the same sticker.
