Good commentary Tom. My teenage daughters both drive manual Mini Coopers. That way we don't have to worry about their guy friends "borrowing" their cars. Funny and pathetic at the same time.

I'm surprised at the number of auto trans 3.0's they built considering that was BMW's "sports car" at the time.

    Petrolicious on e9 coupe

Petrolicious latest video is on a 72 CS coupe. Owner appears to have a few other BMWs including two bikes.

Very nice. I notice your car doesn't have the side markers up front either. Same as Petrolicious car. Did '72 escape those?

Here's my '73 3.0cs. Picture was taken in about 2000. Bought the car from original owner with 28,000 miles since new.

My son in the front seat is in his final year of MBA. How time flies!

Scott, my car did have front reflectors, like Brent's, but I had the small holes filled in with plastic filler when the car was re-painted.
I figured that I could easily put the reflectors back on if I decided to, but I never have.

I didn't do the same thing with the rears, because they have much larger holes in the center for electrical connections.

E9s aren't the only vintage BMWs to look at. I had a RoW E21 323i that was a riot. 2.3 liter six, 5 speed, limited slip, Alpina suspension, factory Recaros, dual exhaust and staggered 15" BBS wheels. Was great fun.

Those sport seats are gorgeous! I've just bought a 1981 323i in polaris with blue interior, unfortunately standard seats.
