    Frankr,
Apparently Kenik posted above that Supertech sells an adapter to fit 2.2 cut heads to the 2.0 barrels.
Call Supertech, Henry will probably answer the phone and give you all the info you need.
BTW, have you priced a set of 2.0S Mahle pistons lately? Very hard to find and VERY expensive. Maybe best to go the 84 JE direction, and try and keep the CR around 9.5:1. When I rebuilt my engine in 1982 (It still sits in my garage in the car, never started) I paid $600 for the 2.2S set, and could have had the 2.0S for the same price.

Yes for new 2.0 Mahle set $5K or so at least. I might look at some other alts now. I prefer not to use JE pistons. Like checking for any valve issues and then having pump reset to 2.2 specs. Bruce A's book indicated you only lose about half a point in compression so going from nearly 10 to 9.5:10 is not that bad and might be pref with today's gas It is very strong up to that 6200 or so RPM range--then runs out of poop.

    Frankr,
Are you sure about that compression figure? Someone that replied to my post said about 7.5:1. You are only getting about 33cc of extra displacement in each cyl. with the 84mm pistons, and the dome is very flat. I would want to assemble 1 cylinder with the head, put it at TDC and measure the combustion chamber with a burette. Fill the chamber to the bottom of the spark plug hole. Then you know exactly what you have, no guess work. If you do this, let me know what you come up with.
