Retrieving Swiss, AMAG delivered data 1968 911 2.0S

    Hi guys,

I recently acquired a 1968 Porsche 911 2.0S and will start restoration on this car within a couple of months. In the meanwhile I would like to retrieve as much as information as possible. Information such as Wagenkarte, KARDEX, previous owners etc. A COA will also follow, but I guess this is not yet available because the car has not been registered for +-25 years. The car has seen the Belgian roads last in 1988 if I'm not mistaken.

I already got in touch with the previous owner, and if everything goes well, he will scan me some period pictures from the mid 80's and send them to me.

Now my question: is there anyone on this board who can help me get in touch with AMAG or whoever has the AMAG archives at this moment (apparently the Swiss Porsche Club has them in their possession now). The Swiss Porsche Club has not yet replied. I also tried Porsche Switzerland, but they could not help because I do not own the original Swiss registration paperwork and also referred me to AMAG.

Any leads in retrieving more information about the car is much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    TM

P.S. I will also start a thread on this car when restoration is started.

    Hi,
you may want to contact either Marco Marinello or Hans Reust. They should know how to get the information if possible at all.

Thanks for clearing up the history on AMAG. It is important to have the latest information. I have been keeping a record of the AMAG numbered cars for a while, but have only got a few so far; I have only 17 listed with Lauf #'s between 3400 and 27000.

Here is the Wagenkarte for my RS. I received this with the help of a forum member a number of years ago. I wonder if yours will look like this.
