    Actually it's much easier to spend an extra 30 minutes taping off the paint badge than to take off and try to find the correct rivets. Also, it's better to over tape, then touch up with a fine brush.

    EZ on a 356. Not "as easy" on a 911. Thusly, you have your answer as to "why?".

    Well done taping is the EZ way out (on a 911) and not at all a bad thing with care and attention. I'd pull them on a 356 just because...
