Here's a portion of Chuck's PM to me:

Besides our two editorial contributors, John Nikas and Jeff Zurschmeide, all our ESSES contributors are paid members of the club, even Brett Johnson. Every article has a ESR membership number next to it's author. When I looked you up in our data base your membership expired 9/13/20. Please renew your membership and we will review your article.

Two things that I was unaware of...

The first is that I hadn't paid my dues. I have been a member here every year for over 20 years and always took for granted paying every year. I haven't actively thought about it however and don't recall any reminders.

Secondly, I wasn't aware that you were required to be a dues paying member to contribute to the magazine. I have just done a lot of research on fog and driving lights in the writing of a White Paper and thought it might be worthwhile content.

John, almost all the folks renew there membership with our autopay so you don't have to actively think about it...

We've been doing this for a few years now and we started including the contributors membership numbers in their byline starting Winter 2020.

It's a perk of your paid membership... as is submitting photos for our annual club calendars...

Renew John, we'd like to read your articles, and you can proudly add your ESR #413 to your byline ....

    Cheers,

Is there a need for photos or just words? I've got photos from Luft 8 that I'd be happy to let the Registry use but I don't have a write-up. Not sure if that issue already went out too.
