    John,

Yes I’ve got one of the Caswell kits, with blue (silver) and gold treatments.

Both strikers and bolts took about 30 minutes to clean (bead blast) and re plate.

Push out the two smaller pins in my vise (towards the back of the striker) this maintains the flared over section of the pin.

Rotated the halves. You’ll notice one plastic has a notch, to allow the countersink section to move through.

I don't think I've ever posted in this thread before. But I will now probably post here frequently. Last fall, racing at Ozarks International Raceway, I missed a shift and damaged the 2.0 911 engine of my 1965 911 racecar pictured in my avatar. My mechanic's cost estimate for a rebuild was more than I want to spend, so he and I agreed I'd do it myself under his guidance (and so far, he's been very happy to answer my frequent questions, even to lending me specialized tools). My intent was this would be a long-term project. However, on Friday I demolished my knee in a skiing accident, so now I'm going to have a lot of free time to work on the engine once I get through the first couple of weeks post-op. Look on the bright side, I say. So, yesterday I took apart the camshaft ends and removed the chain housings. Name: 229I.jpg
