Thread: “Coppola” car

    I had an interested party track me down for information last year. Evidently the car has been reunited with the original gearbox. Given the pictures of the stamping that were shared, and absent a really good story, I would be very suspicious of that claim.

    I don't know anyting about the quality of the resoration. It would have been an easy one, especially by todays standards. That car had a very straight, rust free body.

    who needs a good story when several top figures of the porsche/VW crew are involved in the purchase/sale/restoration...and i think they could not find the box with the `67 punches
