    Door Hinge Rivets

    Now that I am retired, I have some time to start looking over my 68 911 that needs restoring. The car is remarkably original. However, I did discover that the original owner (?) had removed two Rivets for the lower door hinge . The door had some external damage that you can see. I would prefer to keep the original door and replace the rivets. Is this possible?

    I don't think the rivets are as much a problem as how to get to the backside to buck them. Was probably done before door was skinned.

    Pop Rivets. There are good and better rivets and guns. Easiest way to test them is on stacked washers.
