Porsche Picture of the Day !!

My resolution for the New Year is to post a new random photo of an early PORSCHE every day, of calendar 2011.

These will not be pictures I've lifted, appropriated, or stolen from other posts or other sites, but will always be shots I've taken........wherever I've found a suitable subject.

Since this is the Early 911 S Registry, I'll try my best to have pictures of our beloved Longhoods predominate, but I reserve the right to include all manner of Porsche products, be they for the road or the track, but I will draw the line at SUVs and sedans. I will endeavor never to duplicate a shot, although I will post photos of the same car occasionally, but from different angles and showing different views and details of the same car.

If there are no objections to me following up on this pledge, perhaps if the interest is there, and if there are sufficient people viewing this thread, sometime in the course of this year I'll begin posting pictures of other marques as well........... there are other cars. After all, Lundeval has his Rally thread, Curt E. posts his racing pictures and videos, and I love to shoot the cars I see at vintage events and Concours worldwide.

I sincerely hope this effort brings a little pleasure to members who take the time to take a peek. I look forward to my photos starting arguments, debates, reviving memories and perhaps raising a question here & there. I have a genuine affection for this hobby, I love these cars, and can't help feeling that there are kindred spirits among the membership who would enjoy a colorful, daily ration of Stuttgart Goodness.

It's tough picking the first shot, but, you gotta start somewhere, so here goes. ( Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that I really have a soft spot for good outlaw 356s, so for New Year's Day........ a bonus ; 2 photos ).

Thanks for looking, and have a Happy, healthy, prosperous New Year !!

Yes, I know I said one Porsche photo per day, but I just couldn't bring myself to post just a single shot of this magnificent machine and let it go at that.

So, for today it's 4 photos of one car.

If you're referring to the purple car in the post above, I think you may be missing a digit in the chassis number.
From the front it looks to be a 1973 mj car so I'd expect a 911 3xx xxxx number there.

An interesting lift. Designed so that the SUV “could” be parked beneath it. Previous owners wanted it out of their garage. Was happy to help them out.
