U west coast guys don't know 'bout it

Unless you did time in the east...

Yesterday took the car out for the first time this year.
You can't know that feeling of rebirth that it is firing her up and heading off into a beautiful early spring day down roads (the ones without pot holes at least) that just recently were all frozen snow and salt.
Feeling everything about the car as if for the first time. Those sounds, the smells, every noise, the way it handles, better than you could even remember or imagine.
At the same time evaluating freshly anything that is different than you remember from the last ride lo those many months....

    Ahhhh...Spring.
When thoughts of old boys turn to an old car forever young.

One of the very few times I don't envy you guys out in the west .

I was just up there (little further up the coast from John) a couple of weeks ago, and there was snow alright - lots of it...Bit nippy, too; I think the warmest morning @0730 all that week was zero degrees...ayuh it warmed up during the day to 'bout 18 degrees. For someone who used to live there full time and now lives out in the high Mojave desert, it was a bit of a shock to the system... From John's shots it appears that spring has sprung.

I'm with John - there's no denying that feeling that comes with that 1st springtime ride after winter hibernation.

John: My sincere apologies for not calling you while I was up there. It was a really hectic week

Photos look great - which lighthouse is that?

    Cheers

Not here Peter. I'm at the bottom of the state.
Last week 95mph winds and 300,000 without power (not me though). Good thing was it poured for three days and washed all the salt off the roads.

That is Nubble Light in York.
    Maybe next time Thom.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when Lee and I took the Wench out for a cruise - Had a smile from ear to ear. Love that barking exhaust after a long winter!
