Sumner,
Not familiar with Nichols ...
However, North Hollywood Speedometer has been the standard here for as long as I can remember.
Hope this helps,
Cheers

I have used both PA and NH. Palo Alto, just refurbed all 5 for my 67S, timely (2 week turn), good comunication, beautiful work and 2/3's price of NH. My experience was very good others have expresed issues.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.
Thanks Chuck,
Pulled the Tach to have it converted to a square wave and the Speedo to have it looked at (breaks cables and does a good imitation of my Macintosh Amp). Then the same sad OCD related story, clock was already out to serve as vent adjunct since it no longer functions, with those three already out, there were the issues with hazing on the remaining two and a questionable read on Oil pressure. Therefore, off they go…
Why only send one, when you can send all five. I now have the time to replace all the screws in the door panels….

I agree with the Gentleman from A-L-B-U-Q-U-E-R-Q-U-E.
Palo Alto does excellent work for much less than North Hollywood. North Hollywood just did my R75/5 gauge and I damn near could have bought a new one for what they charged. The bike was purchased in Hollywood hence, they were convenient but, I'll use Palo Alto for my speedo and tach conversions.
It's not one of those "hunt for the el cheapo bargins" things. I realize you get what you pay for but, IMHO, Palo Alto gives the same level of service for much less. That's just good common sense.

Noted about PA.
I sent everything off to NHS prior to the PA comments coming.
Hopefully, since I am not looking for a resto only repairs, mods and conversion. I won't be squealing like a school girl when the bill comes due.

Well... you won't regret the quality of their work and, they will make your car "much" lighter (that is, if you drive around with your wallet in your pocket).
Plus... I think it'd be kinda fun to hear ya squeal.
Seriously, you'll be fine. They do great work.
