    Auction Description:

    * Stunning and rare factory Chartreuse over Black Interior
    * 1972, one year only featured with oil-filler

    * Matching numbers engine and gearbox

    * Meticulously restored and documented by marque expert
    * Offered with Certificate of Authenticity, restoration file, books, and tools

    This stunning end-of-run, long hood 911T 2.4 coupe, presented here in a Chartreuse color, also called Lime Green over Black interior. This color is one of the rarest known. We believe approximately only 10 were built in the Chartreuse color.

    Per Certificate of Authenticity, the car was also highly optioned, with US equipment, Light metal wheels (6Jx15), Koni Shocks, Stabilizers (F/R), manual antenna, loudspeaker & noise suppression, comfort equipment, Tinted Glass all around, and Pirelli tires.

    The car was delivered to and stayed in California most of its life with the same family, until it was found and bought by a Porsche specialist in 2017, in Costa Mesa. The car was in incredibly well-preserved and very original condition, showing only 08930 miles on the odometer, retaining the original floors, seats, interior, and carpets, even with some original paints, and complete with tool kit, jack, spare tire, service book, and owner's manual. The car was then sold into the Netherlands, to a Porsche enthusiast, who decided to go through a full restoration and bring this car back to its best.

    "1973 Porsche 911T has had one repaint. It was originally Sepia Brown (415-9-2). There is no rust on this car, nor any rust repair ever done. It runs and drives great. Odometer reads 88538 miles and car looks like this is original mileage. This has the desirable Mechanical Fuel Injection (MFI). VIN# 9113100780. This is a matching numbers car. This car is in excellent condition."
    Back for sale $89.5k asking.

    Seller's (rambling) Description:

    Real 3 owners cars (1973 -> 2009 ; 2009 -> 2018; 2018->…)

    * Clean NY title
    * It’s a matching number car, both engine and transmission (match COA)
    * I believe the car has 152,000 miles documented (invoices)
    * I have no reasons to believe the car was in an accident. Everything is straight and I don’t see any invoices relative to a repair in a body shop
    * The car has been respray in the mid 80's (invoice)
    * Front seats has been reupholstery with the correct pattern for 73 cars
    * Funny fact, the car was ordered with the recaro cloth sport seats but when the car was delivered in the US, the buyer ask to replace the Recaro seats by leather seats and he pay an extra for it (I still have the invoice)
    * The car has the original dashboard and it has some cracks (they almost all do)
    I have a plastic cover but I removed it as I like more the original dashboard even with the cracks
    * All the instruments/gauges are working
    * Rear seats look brand new
    * I must have around 60-70 invoices from day 1 to 2009! This car was really well maintain it’s all life
    * The car has the correct front and rear bumperette rubbers for a 73 ½ US car. I changed the rear one by European ones because I like more the look but I kept the original bumperette if you want the car 100% stock
    * The color, gold metallic, is a special order color, and is truly a spectacular-gorgeous color
    Because it’s a sportomatic, and the car has the appearance option package, the carpet are the same as the 911S, same aluminum front brakes, and same gauges and external oil cooler as the S too

    Interesting car because 73 ½ T are the first cars to receive the CSI instead of carb or MFI
    It’s called 73 ½ because it only apply to US 911T build between January 1973 and july 1973 (the engine is type 911/96 unique to sporto) . For 1974, the engine is a 2.7, before January 73 either carb for T or MFI for E or S

    2.4 MFI gain 10hp (130@5600 -> 140HP@5700) et 8 feet of torque compared to carb (144lbft@4000 -> 148lbft@4000)
    Sporto is also an interesting technology.
    If you combine Targa, 73 ½ and sport, production number is very low
    around 202 sporto with the CSI and targa were produced
    -> It does not really give a higher value but they are rare to find. Also some sporto were converted to manual so finding a true sporto is not so easy

    This car was a 1 owner car until 2009
    This car was well optioned and was more expensive than a base 911E coupé!
    I also find out who was the owner and he’s still alive.
    The A/C was an option from the factory.
    You may have notice that it’s missing the compressor. I’m waiting for the second owner to give it to me as it came in a separate box when he bought the car
    In any case, the car will come with the right compressor installed in the car.

    The second owner is a Porsche collector
    He barely use this car and it stay in a heated garage with his collection
    I think he drove less than 1500 miles in 8 years

    I bought the car from him last year and immediately bring the car to my regular mechanic to check the car:
    He did the following:
    * Fuel pump (Porsche OE, special order to Porsche in Germany)
    * Fuel accumulator
    * 4 shock and struts
    * Brake pads
    The car is very clean, I don’t see any rust anywhere and it drives very well
    The sportomatic transmission works well and you can shift with just 1 finger
    Engine is very healthy and it’s very vigorous after 3500 rpm
    Because of the sportomatic trans, you can drive in town and only use the 2nd gear if you want. You don’t have to change gear as often as a manual, I believe because of the torque converter.
