After posting the pic above, I remember seeing an original Porsche promo movie from 1973. It's on youtube, and is called "06 Paint and Assembly".

Anyway, you see a chap sign a car after painting it, and it looks like the same signature as mine!

Here is the one of the video from 1973

    Here is mine,

So this the chap that actually sprayed the Royal Purple on the car shown on my previous post?

The toelrance of the Brits for rust makes us Americans look like pansies. This isn't limited to RHD 911s, either!

    Hi,

The car may look rusty but for a RHD car it is not that bad. I am helping a friend work on this car, whilst restoring my own RHD 1970 S which (in terms of rust) is worse than the purple Targa.

    Here is my current project

Since this pic was taken the car has been fully stripped, blasted and will then be welded before being dipped and e-coated. The Targa will be stripped to bare metal by hand, but the shuts will get blasted. I have since also found out that the original owner of the targa was the Babysham girl from 1973.

    This could be her?

Anyway, still lots of work to do.

Thanks and regards from across the pond

    Alan

Am I the only one shocked to see the battery boxes still intact?
