    Jo Siffert Film

    This is too cool ....

    "Live Fast ... Die Young"

And here's the trailer ... looks like there'll be some nice vintage 917 action in the film.

Had never seen this photo of Siffert's funeral procession before ....

    Thumbs up

Thanks Curt... can't wait till it comes out

    Siffert would have LOVED this...
Among other incredible things, it is joked that Siffert was SUCH a good business man that he knew exactly how much money he made for every lap he completed...

I'll remember him in August '71 at Elkhart Lake in the 917/10 STP car - qualifying 6th, 5 seconds off the pace... and finishing 2nd behind Revson's M8F

    Cheers,

The film is still running in Zurich and can only recommend lots of sequences never seen before! Can’t wait to buy the DVD.
Bye the way, I was never alone in the room, perhaps more motor enthusiasts over here

    Hello Zurich!

Yes it's probably true, It was so strange to be alone in the theater....do you know Koni Lutziger? He specializes in Porsche outside of Zurich (Dietikon). I bought 2 911 from him.

    Hi Martin/Milou,

I didn't know there were other board members in Switzerland...makes sense but I guess I hadn't considered the possibility. I live in Thoiry (France) about 5km from CERN and the Geneva airport.

Do you know if the film is still playing near Geneva? I'm headed to Verbier tomorrow so perhaps I could see it tomorrow evening somewhere along the route.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

It's no longer playing in Geneva, I saw it in October and since I was the only ticket sold that afternoon, I doubt very much it's still playing.....I'm off to Fribourg tomorrow morning so if you cross a 2.4T orange.....
