Heidi and I had a wonderful time. Thanks to Roger and everyone that had a hand in the arrangements and preparations. Thanks to Eade and Sherry for their hospitality and generosity...AND for letting us drive two terrific cars up and back from San Diego. Thanks to Dwayne for letting me ham-m-mer his black '67S soft window Targa, Yowzza, that baby screws! Pulls like a 3.2. And Eade's Slate Gray '67S with the Tom Woodford motor, Holy Crap!
Thanks to all of you for the friendship and camaradery of these two fine clubs. I am very proud to be a member of the Early 911S Registry and the R Gruppe. I don't know of a better bunch of guys and gals to spend time with. And, oh yeah, the turn out of cars was just AMAZING!
We are sorely tempted to move out to California...you folks have any good skiing out there?!

Many thanks to Roger Grago and John Dilger for making this a very special event! What we may have lacked in quantity we more than made up in quality. Wow, what an assortment of primo early 911s!
My personal thanks also goes to Ray Crawford (secret agent 008) for letting me drive his vintage 72S Targa in the rare shade of Olive (look for this car in a future book ). Earl and I had fun getting lost on the way to Saturday's dinner, then Ray, Eric and I had a spirited run back to LA with Eric showing the way with that 2.7RS engine. Don't think a certain young man in a flatspotted Miata will ever forget it - I know I won't ..
I never recognized Pierce Brosnan even when I waved at him while passing him at speed! Guess I need to spend more time in LA!

Randy, here's the bunch of us and some Brit on the left wondering what color would go best with the Bond image. Hmmm, Silver?
