How do you guys get the full size photo under 100kb? When I choose 640x480 I end up at 110kb, and have to go with 320x240.

Tom,
I'm no computer guy but.... if you don't have a 'resizing' option on your right click, then you have to go into another photo editing or PhotoShop program and do it by trial and error ...
May be someone who knows more about it can answer more completely...
Hope this helps,

In resizing the photos, make sure that DPI is not too high and that you are saving the file in no more than 24-bit per pixel color density. 72 DPI is sufficient for screen viewing, and 24-bit color offers 16.7 million colors, which is plenty, but some cameras will default to a higher DPI and 32-bit color density for higher quality printing of the pics. 640 x 480 x 72 DPI should be well under the 100K file size limit and looks fine when viewing on a monitor.
Also, jpeg images have several levels of file compression available, and choosing a slightly higher compression level will lower the file size without losing much picture quality. Your imaging software may or may not allow any choice in this feature, though. PhotoShop does, but some other packages do not.
Here is a jpeg that is 722 x 406 pixels at 72 DPI with 24-bit color that has a file size of only 72KB.
