FS: 1988 944S Factory IMSA Firehawk Race Car

1988 944S Factory IMSA Firehawk Race Car
Documented Factory-built IMSA racer imported through Al Holbert for Bob Akin in 1988. 1 of just 6 specially prepared cars sent to Akin-White Racing for use in the Firehawk series. These cars were built with Option 666 undercoat and sound deadening delete and Option 719 which deleted power steering, fender liners, radio and speakers, headlight washers, Air conditioning, power windows, rear wiper, engine shield, sunroof, power seat, rear trunk release, power mirrors, door storage pockets, and cassette storage. The car is also fitted with factory roll cage mounts for a Matter Cage though Akin fitted the cars with an American-made unit which is still fitted.

All of the cars ran a variation of the number 5 after Bob Akin's 935 and 962s, This car ran as 05. Very good condition and still in its original form. All metal body and still a lot of originality, Large file of invoices for work done over the years, Excellent period images, log books, A very well maintained car. Fresh engine, 3 sets of wheels, Ready to be enjoyed

Just $29,500 for a factory-built Porsche race car. Porsche trades considered.
