Very early window lift rails (flat design)

Hello all

My ‘65 912 came with nothing but mismatched parts. One of them is this very early style window lift rail. I am trying to decide if I figure out how to mate it to the window regulators which are from a ‘72 and have T style glides. I restored the regulators including fabricating steel pivot pins so I do intend to use them. The pass side lift rail is the later style which accepts the T shape plastic glide.

I believe I would need to fabricate round style glides but do not have a go-by for these and also do not know if Porsche moved past this design for having serious flaws. I can imagine the window wobbling in and out of plane as it raises and lowers. Any tips? Of course i refinished the window lift before realizing all this.
