Thread: WTB: 1975 Recaro Sport Seats/parts

I love it! I LOVE a ducktail! I just imported mine to the US and am in the process of getting it dialed in. I'm not sure about US-spec versions but I think mine may be the only one that left the factory in Code 253 as a MY1975.

    Yeh. I'm a sucker for a ducktail!
Is yours a RoW original 2.7 MFI car?
I don't think there are many in either US or RoW spec that were code 253... I saw it and that was it, had to have it, and I let it go once, then it came around again, and I bought it... Even my wife nodded her head and loves the colour...

I keep a rough spreadsheet of the 2.7 carreras - the only serial number I see for 1975 RoW cars with code 253 is 9115600123. Is that yours?

This is the info I have for that car...
    engine -
    6650177
    gearbox - 7850151
    Colour - lichtgrun - 253
    Interior - Midnight Leatherette/Shetland code 14
    German delivery
    Options from factory -
7&8s Fuchs, Carrera black script on door, Bilstein dampers, Dunlop tires

i think it was restored by Roock

If you have a different VIN, I'd love to capture it in my spreadsheet

for 1974 I know of 1 USA car - mine - and 4 RoW cars

Welcome to a very small club!!!

    Cheers
    Dave

Although that's not my car, I'm 5600028, it's a very similar build sheet. Yes, mine is an original ROW Carrera. I'm the 4th owner. Its Fahrzeugbrief is featured in Ryan Snodgrass' book. This car was at Air/Water last weekend: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6Y1tOWr...RlODBiNWFlZA==

saw your fahrzeugbrief in Ryan's book. very cool, again. I've been waiting to see one of the 2 apple (sebring) green 76 sondermodels... but, not holding my breath for one of those... I've seen one of the shamrock green ones, but not the apple...

@jfcowell - as fyi, this BAT auction discussed the tilt mechanism for 74-75 seats and where to buy. Scroll thru comments for the info. Cheers.
