    regarding minor details... it is possible that Anton Rettenmaier (Gmünd) changed the stamping dies ever so slightly with the move to the pebble grain back ?

    73525 Schwäbisch Gmünd - which is completely somewhere else than Gmuend….

    certainly did change the stamp moreoften, as after several copies you do have to make new „originals“ to get copied.
    out of curiosity I had at one of my originals a missing pin attached and had it gold replated.

    now its mint and „newer than old stock“
