    Signal Yellow 911

I'm considering exterior paint colors for my project '73 911T Targa. Although the Porsche Production Specification says the original color was Light Ivory, I don't really like that color. I'm looking at other Porsche paint colors available for 1973. I really seem to like 'signal yellow'. Any suggestions? I'm assuming a black interior is appropriate with signal yellow. Thx!

Ivory can look great especially with black side decal. I seem to recall light ivory was the colour used for the British importers press and demo car when a rhd targa was introduced in rhd form in model year 73. Have a one page reprint article used as brochure somewhere.

Paint the car what you please, it’s your car. I don’t know if varying from original paint colour combination is a plus or minus on value?

As mentioned… This is an official importer’s photo of the Targa, that was first made in RHD for model year 73. The stamp on back is the photographer known to be used by the importer Porsche Cars GB. While this image is black and white others I have of it as a one page reprint from a magazine article that they used as a brochure shows it is (light?) ivory with black Porsche side-decals. It appears to have Pepita fabric Sports seats but without the (pay extra) headrests. Seem to recall this demo press car was a 911E because my friend has the same colour and spec RHD looks like it has the wider S bumper rubber strips and S front spoiler that if memory serves me well was part of the extra equipment on the “Lux bundle” to upgrade the base E in GB price list at that time.
