Porsche Classic Dashes Fitment for 1972

    Hi all,

Seen a lot of mixed comments on the Porsche Classic dashboards. How’s the fitment across 1969-1973. I know there were some variations between the years in terms of fasteners etc. does the Porsche classic dash take that into account or am I better off finding a dash core for the right year and getting it redone?

Am currently refreshing a 911T targa which has a 1974 dash

A couple of years ago, I put one of these into my '70E restoration. Fitment was pretty straightforward.

Did not go that easy on my 1972. We had to use a Dremel to adjust the inner side of the dash to fit on the the oval of the gauges. Choosing for the ‘official’ spare part , we expected a ‘plug and play’ situation, but this was not the case. However, I do not know if it would have been easier with another solution.
