I work with a guy who was a factory trained mechanic, from the 70s.
He is enthusiastic, yet, he will only put on the upgraded parts, and is not into original. He tells everyone they need to newer parts. And sometimes the newer parts are not good, like the door stops, the newer ones will break your doors. So you have to watch for that.
Thank you! It took a long time to find the perfect example & this one checked all the boxes for me.

The decal in your rear window looks 100% authentic.
The numbers 2.2 started out orange, and are a very difficult decal to find.
    And would be water-slide.
I had to make my own after purchasing and using about five.

My car has PMO carbs, that are a USA built Weber.
I wanted an old car, even early sixties, but the last year that interested me was the 1971T with carburetors.
Tho i love the mechanical fuel inj. I was afraid to work on it, but I was not afraid of carbs.

There is a lot to like on your car.
And it certainly does appear to have the comfort group option.
( leather steering W, alum threshold, s-gauges, gold emblems. Thick bumper rubber.)

    Current long term ownership: 63 Cab, 71 911, 74 914

Thanks Scott! You've got an enthusiasts eye for sure & I appreciate your responses.

I've got the cover on order through both Stoddard & Pelican so I can pick the best one lol

Thanks to @1970rsr. I can cancel my repro orders with Stoddard & Pelican. Thanks for the cover.

The cover shown in your photo is not correct for an “early 1971 only” car.

Just went thru this trying to find one earlier this year. Keep looking…I managed to find TWO, both of them in the Netherlands!!!

Both were bought and used on two different cars.

PMO now makes a cover that is remarkably close to the 71 version

Correct. It will work for now & prefer it over the aftermarket Pelican/Stoddard options.
