WTB: electrical panel cover for 71T

Looking for electrical panel cover for a 71T. Similar to this listing:

    https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...al-panel-cover

Hoping someone comes across a listing or has one laying around somewhere

If your car was built before dec1970, then you most likely have the little 3 fuse cover.
If car built from dec70 to about June 71, (just 6 months) then it would have the 6 month only cover with 2 slots, which are inline. And you will have a small welded bracket for the top screw, already in place.

Chances are it will take you over a year to find one. Maybe longer.

and inside, it has a small square decal.

    Current long term ownership: 63 Cab, 71 911, 74 914

My car was a 12/70 build & looks to have the mounting for the electrical panel cover. Sierra Madre doesn’t make an aftermarket one?

No, there is no aftermarket for your part.
There are later covers, but they won’t fit.

Your screws are here and ‘in-line’

I think Dirk, on the forum, has or had two, but they were melted.

Other info: You can turn air intake horn to the other side( while your A/C is out of the car)
And there is a paper hose that connects to it.

I can see you really want originality.
Your car didn’t come with metal spark plug wires, (those are about 74+)
And your air cleaner would be a large plastic piece, not metal.
Even the trumpet part is mostly plastic.

I could see by your VIN that is is a Karmann car. So there is a slight chance I might be wrong, but I don’t think so.

This photo is from an unrestored super low mile 71T
I have over 100 detail photos of it,

Thanks for the info. What are the advantages to flipping the intake?

Originality isn’t paramount, but I want to try & retain as much originality as I can. I’m okay with engine upgrades that make sense for the work that was done (IPB rebuilt engine to 2.4) The metal intake & air cleaner I prefer over plastic. So that was a welcomed upgrade; & I did inquire on the braided wiring to the plugs since it was added when the engine was overhauled.

IPB was my shop when I owned my 70E. So I value Ron’s opinion over there & the work he has done on the car. I’m waiting to hear back

You also have the large head slotted screws that hold the large cover on!
