    1972 hood paint

    So what was used on the under side? Mine has some sound deadening looking stuff with huge orange peal. Like that road guard stuff they sprayed on the rockers years ago.

    If the bottom is supposed to be smooth, no problem with stripping it. If not I will have to duplicate it the texture.

    Underneath is supposed to be schutz (sound deadening stuff) as per your car currently, then body colour paint over the top.

    I issue came up when I put new hood shocks on it and they would not hold it up. I guess I need to strip the upper side to see how much filler, etc. is there.
