Thread: New Audette Collection White Paper - Air-Cooled Porsche Fog & Driving Lights

  1. #11
    John,

I’d really like to see some more details on the 118’s. How to identify original lenses (all three? Fog, driving, amber fog) what the markings on the lens mean, significance of the additional rivet and period for it, driving light “light director?” (I’ve seen some with it and some without this thingy not sure if it is a ROW or other. Assume you know what I’m referring to and know the proper name for it, if not I’ll try to send a photo.)

Really appreciate all your efforts. Learned a lot about signal housings on your site.

    Let there be light!

Thanks for the suggestion Dave. The plan is to first compile a list with brief information as I have done and then drill down further into the minutiae that we hard-core longhood enthusiasts all love. The 118's are a good place to start as they have a of details. 70SATMan is an authority of these and hopefully he will get involved. A photo of the "light director" would be great. Stay tuned.

    Cheers,
    John
