    Question Speedo quit

So what would be the first thing you would to?

    A. Go in from the top, pull the clock, tach, etc and check it there

    or

    B. Go from the bottom.

Going from the bottom, there isn't much room, unless I am missing a trick? HINT, hint.. hi...

This SUCKS. Nothing like turning 6+K in high gear and you know you are hauling a** but don't know? I don't carry a GPS in the car. Never have.

Maybe a stripped cable, assuming the just squared them off.. or a transaxel gear problem?

    From my experience:

Right angle drive can stop working, the gear driving the cable can push the Welch plug out of the housing thereby allowing gear that turns the cable to fall out of mesh with the drive pinion. Jack under transmission allows transmission support plate to be removed to access the drive unit.

The square end on the cable can shear at the junction with the round cable.

I was able to access the speedo drive at the transmission end without removing anything. Very tight but doable. Mine is a 915 in a '73.
