New Targa Rear Glass - NLA?

I was trying to see if factory Sigla or high quality replacement glass was being made for my '70 Targa and to my surprise there is nothing out there.

Has this been the case for years or is the lack of availability more recent?

It is hard to imagine that used glass is the only option for all of the Targa bodied cars.

Except for the defroster strips, the Targa glass is pretty close to indestructible.

Mine has the two position defrost switch and the factory "green" tint. Scared of taking it out now. Not that I need it working, but how bad is the restoration procedure? Or is there one?

interesting that porsche does not have them ...in all the years i was dismanteling porsches for parts ,i did not sell a single targa glass....after stumbeling over them for years i forced a customer to take 3 for free... the rest went in the bin.
    maybe porsche did the same

how about your targa glass score Jim B.?

Yes, Jim posted a picture, he had quite a few that did not go with the sale.
    Shipping is the biggest problem.
As far as restoring the defrost strips, I haven't found a good solution, They should have embedded them in the glass.
