    Help removing door pocket, '69

I know there is a 6 mm bolt holding the top of the door pocket here, but can't seem to figure out how to get to it. Afraid of peeling the rubber back on the top because it seems to be attached to the rubber just below the chrome strip. Also there are two plastic strips that seem to be holding the bottom to the door with 2 small rivets along the bottom. Do these need to be removed? Thanks for any help here.

I’m not seeing the pics you uploaded.

I believe you need to flip down or remove the rear door pocket and then you can access the nut on the back of the fixed door pocket.

On the passenger door, the right bolt on the forward pocket is accessed within the door, so you need to reach in and unscrew it. There is a screw on the left side (hidden by where the door closes), and from there you will be able to pivot the pocket down and unscrew 4 phillips head screws that hold those plastic hinges against the door (from below, you are just seeing the rivets that hold the hinges permanently to that pocket. Hopefully that helps, but don't pull any rubber or leatherette!

    Rick,
Thanks so much for your help. Took me a while to realize that I had to roll the window up so I could access the bolt on the inside of the door. All good now. Was surprised to find a small German speaker in there. Makes me think that some hack mechanic at a dealership (Hollywood Sports Cars) installed them when the car was new (Johnny Rivers was the original owner).
Some pics. Fully engulfed by the slippery slope now! That plate hangs on the wall in my garage to keep me going. My 75th birthday approaching fast, and sometimes I wonder if I will ever finish, so be prepared for a lot of questions in the near future when it starts to go back together. Hood, RT door and left front fender going to the body shop next week, followed by the whole car to get new tank support. I'll be depending on you guys through this whole process.
